Shayam has been a physiotherapist for over 20 years. He received his Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Master of Physiotherapy specializing in Advanced Physiotherapy in Orthopedics (Musculoskeletal). He worked with AHS for more than 10 years in Alberta.
Shayam also specializes in GLA:D Back, GLA:D Hip and Knee, Functional Dry Needling, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Bonefit/Osteoporosis, Sports K Taping, Kinetic Link Training (Level 1 and 2), Diagnostic Imaging, and Functional Capacity Evaluations
Simrat's family and friends have always thought that she was meant to be in the field of rehabilitation, as she has always been passionate and inclusive in having encouraging conversations that are integral in caring for whole body. Her interest in problems related to bladder and bowel started after the birth of her first son. Within pelvic health field, she wants to provide folks a better space to be confident with their body's unique needs. Simrat's educational background is master in physical therapy. She has treated numerous patients of all ages in and out of hospital & clinical settings. Learning has always been her passion. She has added another feather and completed her Yoga training course to benefit beginners and kids with Yoga. In Simrat's free time, she loves reading both fiction & non-fiction, and reading stories with her boys. Also, she is an outdoor enthusiast, love camping and hiking. Fortunate enough that her kids are her hiking partners
( her husband gives us company too sometimes). Simrat feels honored to learn & grow as a practitioner, not only from the amazing team at Progress health Physiotherapy clinic but also from the clients.
Amanda is a registered massage therapist here at Progress Health. She specializes in child massage from newborn up to adulthood. She is truly passionate about helping everyone from newborn to seniors live a life without chronic aches and pains. She also strives to constantly learn new ways to help her clients long standing injuries or other conditions. Can’t wait to meet everyone and help you feel great again.
Prakash is a registered massage therapist here at Progress Health. He completed his 2200 hours of study from Alberta College of Massage Therapy with Honors with Distinction. Prakash is trained to perform relaxation, deep tissue, therapeutic techniques. He is also certified in applying CUPPING THERAPY, both dynamic & static techniques. Prakash is also currently training for his level 2 and 3 from the prestigious Dr. Vodder School International, but is currently certified with Level 1 Manual Lymphatic Drainage. This training helps in insomnia, tension headache, migraine, generalized swelling in the body.
Prakash has previous experience in the field of healthcare for more than 20 years aboard and Edmonton (as physiotherapist) which helps to plan and treat with custom made treatment techniques and choose more appropriate home exercises.
